Getting closer!

I've got a roller LA that needs rings on the (way) back burner and was thinking about a 392 kit since it needs torn into anyway.

VERY interested in what you've done although mine will likely be a bit more restrained.

Sweet build, how much porting was done on the heads? He just gasket matched on my 410 and it worked out pretty good.

Of course, I have to move now so the car will be moved as is with all my boxes of parts to be assembled at it's new forever home....
But........I now have everything I need to build it except for miscellaneous stuff......
She's very excited to see her new engine LOL

Jeff, with that gearing, I doubt that you will ever hit 6500.

What temp t-stat do you plan to run with those aluminum heads? I bet you will be able to squeak out a bit more power, notice the coolant temps in those dino runs.

Also, all that work, and the amount that you tinker, and you went with a hydraulic cam?
:poke:

I bet she will be a joy to drive. Look at that torque curve! What is it below 3,000 when you will be in traffic?

Heh and you can still tell folks, "Oh, it's just got a little 318 in it."
Edit:
You might want to consider different tires. I am running some 275 Nitto 555 g2's on my 4400 lbs Charger, and even they are utterly insufficient. You don't get near as much rain down there as up north, drag radials may be your only option. The biggest that fit in my barracuda are 255's.

@MrJLR the first dyno sheet you posted appears to be a different engine. Was that for comparison?

The other dyno sheet was for comparison. ....Brian thought it was interesting.....

180 thermostat

I'm going to run the same size wheels and tires (17" wheels) as on my 2019 Challenger except they'll be 5 spoke Cragers.

I'm also gonna make (or have made) a custom ait cleaner sticker that says "318/392 STROKER"......I don't wanna B.S. anyone...LOL

I wish I had some specs below 3000 RPM.....but I don't. ...

Brian also said I'll lose a little because of the Edelbrock ProFlow 4 but I think I'll have PLENTY to spare....

Let's sum up this build.....
Car is painted and striped.
Stroker engine aquired
Classic Auto Air aquired
Alterkation and 4 wheel Wilwood brakes aquired
Coan Torque Converter aquired
Cold case radiator and fans aquired
Gear Vendors Overdrive aquired
Edelbrock ProFlow 4 aquired
And tons of other stuff in the garage. .....I'm sure im forgetting lots of stuff. ...

Now, I gotta move, then I get to assemble this beast!!!!

Jeff

it's gonna be a lot of fun ! The Mean-Green-318-Machine !!!!

what happened to the nice valve covers from post 15 and 16 ?
My Mopar Performance Valve Covers are on my old engine still....I needed some covers to bring it home with. ....they'll be going on the new engine (the covers you saw are Brian's).

Jeff

24 hours and it's not in the car yet. I'd be out in town eating a cheeseburger by now. :D the anticipation would kill me.
Nice build, the first time you stomp on it, you will see how underpowered the 318 really was.
Have fun, we know you will.

I just realized that I'll have about the power and torque of a stock 426 hemi in a small block. .....God I want to get moved and put this thing together!

Jeff

Moving again.... You just move there like 4 years ago.... Dam, you sure run out of garage space fast dude !!!! lol
Happy Moving Man... Be safe... Cheers

You will be thrilled with the torque of that small block stroker for a long time. I can tell you it does not get old. Its like pure awesomeness every time for years to come....especially when you have IMM hook you up.....
