great pictures, thanks for sharing........when i see pics like that i am glad i live in this state.

Thanks for sharing Joe. I want to ride my motorcycle out there sometime or another. You let me rest at your place won't you?

Why does it look like that guy is doing it with the dog?

Probably because your mind is in the gutter.

I have a brother thats lived in Lakewood since the mid seventies. I try to get out there for two weeks every year. Here is a picture of an elk just a stones throw from his house. When you know this animal had to cross over several 4 lane roads and Interstate 470 to get here is amazing. May have done it by following Bear Creek. Man, I have a TON of pictures from about six visits. Well over a thousand!

Beautiful pictures. Thank you Ram and LouieDart

Went thru durango a few years ago to pick up my buddies Lil Red Express and visit his aunt. That place is just awesome, like picture perfect in the mornings.

Beautiful scenes driving home thru there!Wish I could afford to move to that area.

Not so nice up here on this end of the state. We're up to four pretty serious fires in a month. Look North Ramcharger. You can probably see the latest one from your house. It was two acres this morning and as of Saturday it's at five thousand with zero percent containment.

Damn Leadfoot. I was in Rocky Mountain NP 2 years ago. Pine beetle killed a LOT of trees, a big fire just waiting to happen. How about where you're at, dead trees from the beetle?

Louie these pics are right up by RMNP. There's countless thousands of acres of beetle kill just waiting to go up in flames. It's all part of the cycle of nature and it works out quite well. New growth with fresh saplings and wildflowers gets old and overgrown, the beetles kill it and a lightning strike takes it all out. Just to start the process over again. The forest will come right back. Turns out those pesky invasive humans are the fly in the ointment.

we have a haze down here in the springs from the fires up by fort collins.

heres a couple pics from our last hail storm 3 days ago. we had 4 feet of hail and more in some areas.

I took these pics on the trip between Colorado Springs and Aspen one year. The one with the storm in the sky is one of my fave pics I've ever taken.
