I found a picture of the Demon and a blurb in
Stock Section of National Dragster.

I do not know how to post pictures on here.

My Dragster is digital = can you lift pictures of it.

Maybe one of my buddies who has paper version will post
it for me.

My boy figured it up with you gentleman's help.

The Winternationals and the World Finals in Pomona
are the big races of the year for me. I grew up in So Cal
and is where my old friends and some of my new Forum friends
still get to watch us race.

I got down to the last four at both of those races this year in stock, while
beating the new World Champ and last years World champ and a couple
of former ones along the way!

We do not get to race as much as we would like as my son and I are
pretty busy with our Trailer business and our Private Capital company.
Not to mention spending time with my 5 Grandkids.

I just completed the last two Eye Surgeries (hopefully) last week and I
believe that my racing will really improve next year if this elderly guy's
Reactions and Coordination hold up.

God is so Very Good!!

A friend of mine had Wann's purple Duster for a while. He does awesome work.
Congrats to you!
He is as good a Mopar Stock/SS racer and car builder that has ever lived!
40 some years ago, I remember him going around the track telling everyone =
When he got old enough to race how he was go to kick all our Butts!

I have built a new Aluminum head 340 (Better combo and rated less HP) to
try and catch up closer to him and also my son' Demon 340. In the semifinal at the World Final
last year he and his son gave me a real beating heads up (worse than we have ever encountered
for 25 years).

He just finished building a fresh 318 shortblock for our Superstock 318 Aspen that should
put that two-ton pig deep in the 10's for us!

They are family friends of ours, as well that his father Don(RIP) also was.

They have generously helped our family in our racing journey numerous times.

They are people of faith - - -Also as is our family as Well!

God is so very Good to us.

You and your son are clearly awesome racers. The results speak for themselves. If i lived out west, I'd be sure to be out watching you. But I'd sure not want to race you - I've seen your RT's!!

Congrats again on those last outings you had!

I appreciate that a lot....

I am blessed that pushing 80 years old and four
eye surgeries later, I still can compete without embarrassing
myself or being a danger to anyone. I really
enjoy the time with family and the many great
friends that I have made at the track.

I was legally Blind in one eye (No Depth Perception) the entire last year
and that made the finish line really a lot tougher to judge. Fortunately,
I have been racing the exact same cars (literally) since before many guys
on here were born. Knowing the cars so well and 70 years of going to the
track, I could generally dial them with holding 1 or 2 under the petal.
Knowing where you precisely are in ET approaching the finish, really makes
a difference in your confidence in the outcome of the race.

We really work on our car's chassis and engine tuning to insure they repeat
their performance. If we get a heads up or in Class, we know how to pull all
the levers to make them go fast!

My .02 = For Free!

Gotta love that!! But I know I was born when these A-bodies started as I have a pair of 'em myself. And I surely wish I could tell where I was at at the end of the track in my car but I'm nowhere near that good.

Just won the Sportsman class (bracket racing) at the Orlando Speedworld track yesterday and et's were from 11.07 to 11.10 but had one at 11.12 in there for some reason too. Could have been the end if the other guy didn't turn on the red-eye in that round.

My Air Fuels are rather quite on the rich side (11 -1) and my timing is backed
off about 6 degrees total from heads up setting. Also shift points are lowered
about 600 from optimal.

Many of my friends think that I am Nuts. However, it seems to work OK for me.
