Does anybody happen to have the old style mopar non vaccum electronic dist. with mechanical tach drive? I need a picture of it installed to see where it's set at for my initial timing. Right now the lube plug is in the way of the hold down bolt so i know it's not right. I thought this might be a quick way to get the basic timing. Thx, Kevin

you can easily move the intermdiate shaft to accommendate the housing...

i have one in use but it is the newer aluminum version.

i have the intermediate shaft where it is correct for #1 cyl. per Moper. I really don't want to move it if possible. Something just is not adding up.

Look in an older Motor manual, the cap is the same as the old factory 273 and 340 dual point dist. then just line up the clips the same way as they are in the manual.

I had just sold my DC tach drive distributor to Memike so I don't have it to look at but if memory serves me correctly, the clips should be between the #7 & #2 or the #2 & #1 spark plug terminals and I believe the tach drive portion sits parallel to the fire wall.
