Have a stubborn pitman arm but no one posts the opening dimensions. They may say for domestic cars and light duty trucks la la la. What I need is the part number of a heavy duty puller for my application. Working on a 68 Barracuda with manual steering. If anyone can respond with part numbers of their puller, I will search for one to purchase. So far, I have found OTC 8150, Snap-on CJ119B and Ferrum 0388. The latter two of the three may be too large but don't know. Thanks for any help.
 
Have used the CJ 119 puller many times on Abodies. An excellent pitman arm puller.
Snap On CJ 119, 119a and 119b are the same size pullers.
The a and b are just updated versions of the original CJ119.
 
After bending and or breaking the rental ones from the parts store, I purchased the OTC 7310 and it removed it like butter. My buddy also used it on his old F350 and it worked for him.
 
On my Duster, I just used a 2 jaw puller tightened up, loosen the nut up a good bit, and heated it with a torch.
About 30 minutes later I heard a pop, and it come loose.
So yes it was tight.
 
My buddy put a slit in mine with a cut off wheel and knocked it off with a hammer. I was still on my way to O'Reilly's when I got the call that the puller wasn't needed.
 
Ordered a Snap-on CJ119B off Ebay. Thanks for everyone's comments. One final note. Is the pitman arm splined in such a way that it will only go on correctly orientated?

it will go on one of four ways. only one will be correct.

it's fairly clear which way it goes though.
