Were the original ones plastic? It looks like it could be fabbed up out of cardboard/hardboard…

I had one in a 74 duster ....as far as I knew they came only in cars with the fold down back seat. That way when the seat was folded down you didn't see the inside of the tail panel from inside the car. just FYI
 
Not sure what years got the plastic. That one was given to me. My car had cardboard panels originally.
 
My 74 has a plastic one and has Rani stated it was mainly for fold down rear seat cars. Sorry Mine isn't for sell.
