Anyone here ever mess with?
I have an Apache pop up camper, side walls are ABS instead of canvas.... I bought a hot air plastic welder. Takes some getting used to. Much like oxyfuel welding, in the way to operate the "torch" and add filler rod. Takes some getting used to, on how fast you move along, without overheating the parent plastic ... also, must ID type of plastic, and use the same material as parent plastic as filler rod.ans there are LOTS of different types of plastic!
As it says/ "hot air" plastic welding... I have a question about a capable compressor, in the interest of making the setup a little more portable. Being as how the air pressure has to be cut down all the way to 3-6psi, though it works for sure ... I don't need my 175psi, 2 stage 80 gallon garage compressor to run this doohickey..... Though I have done it that way, because it's what I have.....

I'm thinking air brush compressor should be plenty.
I have seen some setups just like mine except that they come with a compressor/which is similar in size to an airbrush unit.
Who has used an airbrush compressor? Most I see are around 1/10 HP, 40 psi-ish. They are constant run design, no reservoir/tànk... Are those style of compressor regulate-able down to that low of pressure on a regular basis? I have a couple of these compressors on watch on ebay.
Had I thought about it then I know that RRR just had one for sale .... But I didn't have anything here like that, needing fixed at the time..... So didn't think about asking about that one. Looking at something like a Passche brand, D500 model.

What PSI is a refrigerator compressor? I got 2 and they both put out some form of air pressure from the vacuum discharge port. I use one for pulling vacuum on the A/C manifold. They are almost free when you see a scrap refer in a back alley. 2 nuts and dikes on the lines and its out.
1/5hp compressor ~85psi & ~.7cfm (refer)
1/3hp compressor ~115psi & ~1.1cfm
1/2hp compressor ~115psi & ~2cfm

You go for reefer in the back alley?

I use a 10 lb nitrogen cylinder for portable air brushing .A 2 stage regulator handles the low PSI very well. Cheap to swap out the cylinder at the local welding shop. No moisture to affect the paint, too.
