Hello Fellas,
I need a little help reading these plus if ya dont mind. They are out of my 340 .030 over with machined down TRW L2322 pistons with 10.02 to 1 measured compression. Lunati 703 cam, Mighty Demon 650 DP carb Speedmaster Heads gasket matched 4:10 gears 3000 stall converter, TSP Distributor . Timing is 17 and 34 total at 2500. Just wondering what yall thought of these. Thanks in advance

here's my opinion plug is a little cold timing is a few deg high , idle is slightly rich and cruise looks good can't tell full throttle but over all not bad at all . jmo . i would like to know the plug number and the fuel used .

Looks ok. The total and initial timing witness marks on the electrode looks dead on. Looks a little lean, IMO, but that's a tough call with ethanol fuel.

Thanks for the reply. The plug is a NGK BCPR6ES. I just put that carb on and am still fine tuning it

Yeah Rob, I thought it waas a little lean myself. I got a screamin deal on the carb, brand spankin new for 315.00. I first put it on OOTB and there was pieces of rubber floating in the bowls causing it to get stuck in the needle ands seats. Float wouldnt close so gas was pouring into it. Tore it down cleaned it out and stuck it on this year. I love that carb. Thanks for your opinion

Could also try NGK - BKR6E plugs. I’m having good luck with these in my .040 over 340 at 10.25-1, MSD 6AL, 750 DP Holley...

Plugs are cold they did not even burn into the first thread. I normally like to see them burn into at least the second thread.
Thanks,,, I forget, on the NGK plugs the higher the number the colder they are right? I know one plug type goes in the other direction and I think its the NGK. So a BCPR5ES would actually be hotter correct?

2 is hottest, 12 is coldest
