Anyone have and idea of how i can better secure the plate that my points and condenser are connected to? The car strats, but with in just a few moments the plate pops out and the car dies....any suggenstions?
We talking about a Mopar single point factory distributor, OR JUST WHAT? /6, or V8 or what??
The plate if it's Mopar, is only fastened to the lower plate by means of a pivot and retainer. Some originally may have been riveted, don't remember. Without tearing one down, my recollection is that the retainer clip resembles a "Y" and acts like a spring to help pull the top plate down
