1968 World's Fair was in Dallas. The Western "Hemisfair" was the theme. Kinda unique

This plate was a Christmas present from my wife. Went to the tag office this morning to register them.

I like it, here in MN they no longer will register vintage plates. I had mine before they did this but never registered it. But in MN you can have any plate you want on front

I just let my 1968 plate go , more trouble than its worth --------------

Pete, when did they stop letting you use year of manufacture? I looked into it 3 years ago and you could then.

About three yrs ago but check to make sure. The plate on front of Barracuda isn’t registered. 6VB 273 fit my car perfectly 66 Valiant Barracuda 273

Must have been just after I looked into it. Doesn't matter for me anymore, I've got personalized plates on most of my cars. Getting one tomorrow, actually.

Not sure what that’s supposed to mean? Is that a knock on my car?
No, not at all, it is a caricature of your typical car show viewer

You know how they never look at your license plate and call every car of that Era a nova?

That's all it meant
(When you're bored, type in "nice nova" in your search box and read some of the stories)

I have an old pair of '72 plates ("Year of Manufacture" plates allowed in MO for historic vehicles as long as the number is not in current use). Also badges that say "Dodge" and "DART". And I've had someone ask me if it was a Nova, too!

I bought these Personalised Plates (Vanity plates) back in 1997, and they have been on several cars of mine over the years....and I still own the plates. Originally there were a lot of restrictions as to the make-up of the plates, but it has been relaxed over the years.

I managed to get a plate for my friend "RODZ69" - initially the Govt would not allow it because it had 69 in it...too many Quakers working for the Plate company....but when told it was for a 69 Road Runner, and the owner's name is Rod....they had to let it go.
