Have ya ever noticed Mopars have a balance problem? Seems like every picture has the wheels in the air - they must all be rear end heavy or sumptin'

hi, not rear end heavy, sorry!! its the correct suspension set up. a calvert bar with 6 cyl t-bars, proper shocks, front and rear, and convertor or clutch will produce wheel stands. all done on 9" tires. just food for thought.

You DO realize he was joking, right?

I know wheel stands slow down your ET, But ya gotta love em'.... Had a buddy with a 80' big block malibu street legal car, it would stand on it's rear bumper, think it ran mid 9's at 140mph..

I have been saving this one.....

1993 S/S Reunion

McVeysHemiDart.jpg

Hi Yellow Dart! I know Larry McVey very well and his dad Lloyd lives here in SW Florida. I know the old Hemi Dart was sold by Marvin many years ago. I will say that the Original Engine was not in the Dart when Marvin had it, it was scavenged for Lloyds Tractor pulling efforts after NHRA changed the rules for the 70 season & he decided not to race the Dart. Yes a pulling tractor with an original Super Stock HEMI was featured thru out the midwest for a few years. I know the engine ended up with a window in it and was trashed. Like the old pics, what Magazine was Hughes featured in in 1984?

Cheers,
Steve

As an old school alignment and suspension guy, lemmie impart on yall what I really like about this thread. Notice in EVERY wheels up pic but one, these cars are all straight as an arrow and square. The front tires are even and there is no body twist. They plant both tires the same amount. ....and there are a LOT of stock rear suspension leaf spring hung cars in the crowd. This is concrete evidence boys and girls that Mopars are superior to Phords and Chebbys. This can be accomplished very easily and affordably with all the parts right in the Mopar suspension book. The brand Xers only wish they had it this good.
