Post Early A-body wheel/tire combos here

Australian 1966 VC Valiant. Be nice, she is an early A-body.

New Maxxis MA1's. 185/75's on front, 215/70's on custom 6" rims on the back (sitting nice and snug around 1/4" away from the leaf spring).

Your car is very kewl, wish I had one like it here in the states :glasses7:

Thanks. This is my fourth '66 VC Valiant - three white slant six sedans (blue interior, red interior and now brown interior) and one black V8 'goon.

It's funny, 'cause I would KILL for a matching '66 two-door - Barracuda or Signet. I've always loved yours! The only early A two-doors we had were the utes.

The grass is always greener on the other side of the pond. . .

Interesting how different the sheet metal is from the ones in the states. It looks a lot more later 60's models here.

Cool looking car!

The following model ('VE', 1967) was the first fully Australian designed Valiant. Well, it still takes a lot of US cues, but . . .
The VC (mine) was a very short model run and is very much loved here for its unique style. It used the small early A floorpan while the VE stepped up the wheelbase and width a few inches.
It's the perfect car for us. Our daily drive is a 2002 Subaru Forester, and they look really good together!

Factory 14"x5.5" Steelies.
215-70-14" all around.

Car year and model: 1963 Dodge Dart 270 Wagon

Front

Wheel Brand:
Ford/BBS
Size: 16x7
Backspacing: ~5"
Tire Size: 215/55R16
Suspension Mods: 1" thick SBP to BBP adapter

Rear

Wheel Brand:
Ford/BBS
Size: 16x7
Backspacing: ~5"
Tire Size: 245/50R16
Suspension Mods: 1" thick SBP to BBP adapter

Tires are Falken Ziex ZE960 A/S. I had to roll/massage the rear fender lips to avoid rubbing over larger bumps and dips, but nothing too crazy. Fronts cleared without issue lock-to-lock and over the same bumps and dips. Wheels are originally from a '91 or '92 Lincoln Mark VII LSC.

Wow, I can't believe I haven't posted here. Here's some combinations I have ran in the last 15 years. The Rally's were just to see what they would look like.

215 60-15 all around on my 65.

It’s been carefully equipped with worn out suspension all around. BBP, disc brake conversion up front and 8 1/4 rear.

Wheels were freebies from a friend’s side yard. 15x7 torque thrusts up front, and primer grey 15x7 Stockton wheel steelies in the back. It’s a terrible look that I’ve grown to like.

You're asking about a ten year old post.
But I'd be willing to bet more than $5 that it HAS to have been tubbed, or mini tubbed at least, and likely had the springs moved too.
15x7s are a tight fit, he says he's got 15x10s.
Sorry
Should have looked better
