Hank III is the only newish country I can stand.
Not a fan of Stern however he brings out the best in artist and the Sound is second to none. If you can't appreciate these girls then I am not sure where we go from here lol.....

I have a bunch I started collecting them when I was a teenager, I even have several 8 tracks of Merle! Did you hear his newest album with him and Willie? Django and Jimmy was the name of the album. It was released soon before his death.100% I loved this guys music. I have every record he ever made.

Yes I believe so.I have a bunch I started collecting them when I was a teenager, I even have several 8 tracks of Merle! Did you hear his newest album with him and Willie? Django and Jimmy was the name of the album. It was released soon before his death.
Rusty, I gave up trying to find good country when this modern pop crap started coming out. May have to start looking again.
I've been to 4 of his concerts in years past. Most of them at USF Bulls campus. One was great one was so so. Two of them he was so damn drunk he had to sit on a stool to keep from falling down. The last one he ran his band off the stage and stumbled like only a drunk could do. After that one I wrote him off.I got a shotgun, a rifle, and a four wheel drive, and a country boy can survive!
I have no trouble believing that, a good friend of mine went to see him in Calgary in the 80's. Hank was so ripped he fell off the stage half way through the second song. Show was over with no refunds. Regardless, some great music!I've been to 4 of his concerts in years past. Most of them at USF Bulls campus. One was great one was so so. Merle named his son after Marty Robbins!Ah yes Marti Robbins is right up there with Merle.
Kinda makes you wonder, what country singers are going to be remembered with the respect and admiration of Marty Robbins Merle Haggard Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, Hank Snow, etc in lets say 50 years?Merle named his son after Marty Robbins!
He is a very talented musician also. He has three sons that are in music, Marty, Ben, and Noel. All three are fantastic. Ben did alot of guitar work on the Django and Jimmy album.
