Post the car you learned to drive in...

1961 Cadillac convertible, 390-4bbl........took my driver's exam in it too.

If you can parallel park this thing, you can parallel park anything.... :)

Mom's 69 Belvedere two-door slant 6. As the pictures show it wasn't long after I learned how to drive it that I learned how to wipe it out. Hit a pole backwards in the middle of a spin on a major highway. All my fault even started a little bit of a police chase afterwards because the car knocked the pole down and I just kept going. Long story short nobody got hurt and I didn't end up in jail, lol

Learned to drive in my dad's 1974 metallic dark brown dart sport slant sixer. Car was mint parchment interior. Good looking car. He always told I could have once I got my driver's license. Well fate did otherwise. Car got sideswiped by a chevy plumbers van. So years later I had to get another dart sport. Not as nice as my dad's unfortunately.

That was the first car I got to steer, left handed, sitting in the middle, 70mph, barely seeing over the dash. Thanks Dad, I was a nervous wreck. lol
Would love to have a 61 vert now...$$$

First full control driving was my Moms 68or9 Rambler.
Took my test in my BIL`s 74? more door Olds 98. That was a serious land barge.
I had to parallel park on a steep friggen hill too. They were tough back then.
First time I wasn`t close enough to the curb, he let me try again and got it, whew!

My drivers ed cats were **** brown AMC Eagles all autos and we had 1 Toyota corolla for stick training. You had to sign up for stick training as they only had 1 car. Our simulator was made by Chrysler. I remember the steering wheels said Chrysler on them and the seats were probably lightweight A100's with seat belts. I think it was 6 deep by 2 wide, the screen was projected in front of us and I think the rear view mirror was reflected back up forward, they would just change the camera angle of the film. We all had to look In the rear view mirror at the same time on command. Weird setup. I'm sure today it's just Grand Turismo on a 60" TV with score keeping ! Oh, We don't offer drivers ed anymore...that's right.

I took the drivers ed class at my high school in a '68 Cutlass but the main part of my practice was in a '62 Rambler American, 3 on the tree. Took my test in my dad's '68 Sport Satellite Wagon.

It was my mom's 1973 Duster /6 auto. B5. I would a been about 12-13. My folks let me drive around the property and the dirt roads. Lived way outa town. LOL

I'll edit this if I can find a photo.
Though not likely.
A 1971 Chrysler 300 two-door hardtop. Dark red in color. With a black vinyl top , 383 auto. A bashed in driver side door that never was repaired from the streets of Cicero, Illinois. My father bought new. Door bashed in within the first weeks parked on the streets. Sold in '76 or '77 .

My mom’s first new car is 66 Plymouth Barracuda with black Vinyl Roof. The first car I drove when I got my permit

1965 Corvair 110 4 door with a 4 speed transmission. My first car that I got in 1970 as an 11 year old. It was free because of a broken clutch cable and I cobbled it at the transmission end and had the newest car in the house to my mothers 1963 Pontiac Bonneville and father’s 1964 Ford Falcon.

Was pretty easy to learn on
Was a customer (teacher) car in HS auto shop.

Super fun to drive and I played a major role in getting the twin side draft VV carbs working correctly.
Everyone else was afraid of them.

1991 Toyota Celica GT. 4 cylinder. 5 speed.

My memory told me that my rims looked way cooler than they were.

I learned to drive and take my drivers test in my dad's 1955 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer and it was a tri-color car.

Had 2 shades of blue and a white roof.

It depends on what is meant by "learning to drive".
When I was about 13 or 14, a couple friends and I took the bodies off of VW bugs and had a BLAST driving them around in the woods (and on the street some to get to the woods). A friend's older brother bought a new Aspen R/T with a 318 and a 4 spd OD ('76?). A VW with the body off was LIGHT, and kicked his smog motored 2 BBL butt repeatedly on our side street 100 yard drag strip. I can remember putting the gas on the floor, sidestepping the clutch and going through the gears w/o lifting the throttle!
I got my license in my parents '66 4 door, 389 2 BBL, Catalina. Those Indians had some torque. It would one-wheel-peel forever. No braking needed, just floor it. I would swap the tires around to avoid wearing out the right rear. haha
I REALLY learned to drive in my late 30's, when I started my 1.3 million mile tractor-trailer career. For a while, I was driving 2700 miles a week, at night, Monday through Friday.
I also did about 2 years delivering gasoline to stations. It's amazing how "blind" people become when you're trying to put that tanker in the exact spot it needs to be in so that you can drop the load. Nobody wants to give an inch!
We ALWAYS flew on vacation. lol It's been 16 years, and I'm just starting to drive on some long trips.
Other than that, I don't know a thing about driving.
Oh, did I mention 5 years of school bus driving before I retired? Nothing like dealing with 115 (4 bus loads) different little personalities while trying to keep everyone safe.
I need a beer...
