Recently, I have seen a few pages on instagram and facebook about detailing, customizing and painting toolboxes to make them look pretty and different.

LOL, The Snap-On man told me they quit making my tool box about 1978. It's ugly but still hold tools. Don't remember what I paid for it but it was a hell of a lot less then what they get for them now!

i'm looking at this one for 725$ and I want to do it in the same paint scheme as my top box I just got

Well, I don’t consider them pretty as they were all purchased with one thing in mind, work. I don’t have a picture handy of my original tool box but it’s in the attic, a 1950’s snap on tool box that belonged to my Uncle Jimmy and an old Waterloo roll away.

My 2nd set of tool boxes, MATCO MB900’s that I assembled from 1980 to 1989. I still have this in my shop at home today.

I bought this one for work because it’s a lot of rolling around a 100,000 square foot shop.
