Nice work everyone, some amazing talent here for sure.

Here's pic of my dash.

Just look to the left, no to the left, you know just under the windshield.

Can you see it, its there, if you look hard enough you'll see it.

Clinteg....did you fab up that insert or buy it? Can you give details, that looks really nice.

this is the dash in my 1967 Aussie Dodge ute...it has had the extra trim sections add on the glove box and left side of the dash as the utes didn't come with these....being a base model ute it didn't come with a crash pad, so I made one by fibreglassing the dash to make a base, extending it down the edge of the dash face, then padding and covering it.....factory gauges got LEDS.....

I fabricated it using 22 gauge sheet metal and 1/8" rolled bar around the periphery. There's not an insert available for the pre '70 cars that I know of unless you want to pay an outrageous amount of money for one the peak dashes. I've got about $30 into making this one.

My dash that I refinished. Not as fancy as some of the incredible pieces in the thread, but I wanted to keep it looking as original as possible. The thumbwheel radio has been upgraded so that all of the internals are a modern stereo but keeps the stock look.

Just finished restoring mine. Installing this weekend.

Mine is a blend of stock and some customization with in-dash 2-5/8" tach, 2" oil pressure and water temp gauges set in on either side of an aftermarket radio. The bezels are refinished in black satin paint with new woodgrain overlays installed.

Edit: Sorry for the double post a few up the chain. :D
Added a few pics with the dash pad on fresh from the upholstery shop
