74 had a 360 built by stan mizell. it would squeel the one wheel of a 2.94 rear end. my dumb *** drove that thing around not knowing that his mechanics didn't connect one of the large suspension bars at one end.
the volare had a 2.7? 8 1/4 rear, came with a fairly big cam and 3000 stall torque converter. the car shook right, I lifted my foot off the gas pedal, and the trans blew a hole through the floor where my foot was.
i also had a 1980 box chevy impala (vice caprice classic) with a 267 sbc ( 3.5" bore) that would do 130mph- it just took 5-10 minutes for that 60 horsepower motor to wind up the highway gears that fast

I was on the last run of the day, "Miracle mile" as it was 1 mile long. Lost a front binding, pulled the screws right out. no one on the run, place closing....Had to ski down the entire run on one ski, and I wasnt that good.
