Data loss from site server crash.
This sucks. I just purchased an item and now I can't go back to the 4 sale thread or my PM's and don't even remember the user name of the guy I bought it from.
Maybe post what you purchased and somebody will remember the 4-sale ad specifics / username of seller....
I'm sure the seller will see the info about the server crash & contact you too...Don't worry!

Its one of those things that are bad timing. It happened during the backup, then I spent a day trying to fix it, which I couldn't. So we had to go back to 3 days ago to get the site back up as fast as I could..
These things happen unfortunately. I'm sorry I couldn't prevent it or fix it in a better way.

yeah, bunch of stuff is gone. Oh well, at least the site is still alive and if all we lost is a few days worth of posts, that's the least of our worries.

Did the best I could. Im looking into hardware upgrades to help prevent this from happening again. We're at that point where I have to start thinking about a new server.

Don't worry about it Joey. A lot of what was lost was drivel anyway. I notice that the Chevy powered Mustang post is gone so the crash is really a blessing in disguise... :blob:

It's good enough for me. I sure don't have my own website, or sites, that I maintain. Maybe you do and know all the ins and outs, and could have done better?? But a couple days lost means nothing to me.

I'm glad I saw this thread. I haven't been on for a couple of days and I knew that I had replied to a couple of threads, but my posts weren't in the thread. Nothing important. Keep up the good work Joey.
It kind of reminds me of the cars we work on. They look good and work good after we fix them, but sometimes things aren't quite perfect. I can live with it. Good job Joey.
