450-500 h.p. no way....i have a similar build its got just about 400 h.p.

My friends 340 with a XS282S, 11:1, victor intake, ede heads just cleaned up no porting, made 457hp on a conservative dyno.

I don't see why this combo couldn't make similar power since it is a similar solid not a hydraulic camshaft.

If tuned right it will be in the 450 area at sea level, but should EASILY crest 415-420

If its a true 10.5, than i would say 430-450hp, I would do some pocket porting and have a shop make sure the VJ is right on, also gasket match the intake and ports on the heads, that should bring you up to the 475 hp level for just a few bucks more. BTW don't use a small carb 750 dp min,

Good for you !!!!!!! i'm running 11.25cr with j's on 93 pump, CR is the key with small blocks, you should hear the pop out of my exhaust SWEET !!!!

Skep419, ever get the A/F adjusted right and dyno'd?

Jimmy V; I'm building a very similar 360 now. Differences are;

KB 107's, RPM and Hooker Super Comp headers @ 1-3/4.

Though the intake is subject to change, often, LOL. I also have a old Holley Strip Dom. intake.

I was thinking something like Crackback (CB) was saying. something in the 400 - 430 HP area.

Well the story goes my boss would not let me leave work to watch it get dyno'd. They had 71's all around on this dyno run. right now I have it at 68 up front 75's out back with a 4.5 pv. Plugs look good but wish I would have been there to tune a little

skep,

What's the factory jetting on that holley? Do you have a list #?

I bet you've got about 20-30 hp on the table with the tune from that dyno run. Might the A/F meters be off?

I usually try to start where they come from the factory. A 750 on that engine shouldn't need a whole bunch of messing with from the factory OOTB Holley set up on jetting is my guess.

Good luck with it, look like a pretty neat engine.

Dyno numbers don't mean a thing timeslips do.....

It ran 13.8 with the same bottom end.

Things that have been upgraded ede heads (stock 2.02 1.60) rpm air gap (wiend dual plane) comp xe284 (smaller comp cam not sure) 750 holley street hp dp (750 ede) msd pro billet (mopar perf)

Should pick up at least a second

Well which is it then?,first you give your advice on horsepower and now its all about timeslips?.I agree with the others,420 or better is on target, but I also would do a little work to the heads and get that extra 25-30 h.p..

More h.p. is always great and nice timeslips even better, unless your only interested in putting around on the street which is a total waste of a high h.p. motor..for comparison my 360 has 10.7 to 1 comp and roughly 400 h.p. and put my duster in the 11.70's so theres no way, that combo is making what you people think..13.8's that car should be a lot quicker then that,i've got a buddy with an old crate motor out of the box running consistent 13.0's in his '68 dart..dyno's are good for some things but bring it to the track and run it if you want real results,i know quite a few guys who thought their cars were real fast, only to bring them to the track and find out how SLOW they really are...:angry7:

Again the 13.8 time slip was made a few years ago with totally different parts than the dyno numbers. Keep in mind the comp ratio is now at 9.5-1 with 63cc ede heads. With the old heads it was in the 8 range. That 13.8 was pretty fast for the combo it was ran with.

Also there is a lot of other variables about being quick at the track. Your 11.70 probably wasn't done on street tires and it probably wasn't done on a converter less than 3000?
