Power steering or something else?

I bought a 71 swinger a couple days ago and it has this one odd problem. When you start the car, without any input it turns the wheels all the way to the left without touching the steering wheel. I’m wondering if it’s the power steering pump or if it’s something else that’s gone bad. I could really use the help to solve this issue quicker.

Yep, it’s a box adjustment.

There's a valve held by 2 bolts on top of the steering box. Ever so slightly loosen and tap it forward or back just a c hair. tighten and see if you're going the right way. One way goes right and other left. You must center. Loosen those two bolts too much and you might mess up the O-ring under there. Ask me how I know.

Yep, it’s a box adjustment.

Not the box itself, just the control valve needs centering.
