power steering questions

I'm going from manual to power steering on a 65 Valiant. Pump and gear box are in place, how do I tell which column (or at least which shaft) to use, and what do I need to know about the parts at the connection?

The pitman arm is on the gear box ( looks rough) so what steering linkage do I need? I have a V8 center link and all the parts from the non power setup.
