Hello Every one ,I have a 66 Dodge Dart with A/C and standard steering which can be tough when parking ,I do have an oversized 14 inch tire ,Is it possible to install electric power assist to the steering column ,Has anyone done this and would it be worth it ,Thanks for any advice .

there's a few EPAS install threads on here that would be worth perusing.

is it possible, yes. has it been done, yes. is it worth it? that's for you to decide.

you could also go with a stock power set up, it wouldn't be too terrible to source all the bits. or upgrade to a borgsen setup. so you have options.

Thanks for your help.I called a place in New York i think that sells a kit but he said since i have A/C i would have to change so many things .the water pump .Radiator . i think there was something else but cant remember

the AC certainly adds a wrinkle of complication to the ordeal, but it's not insurmountable.

i'm not sure why you'd need to change the radiator, but the waterpump may be a function of what's available pulley wise.

personally, if i was in your shoes i don't know which direction i'd take but i like to stay toward the stock side of things because i know that those components are out there and they work together.

it's all doable but it becomes a function of how much you want to spend, what your level of expertise is and how far you want to go because generally one upgrade begets another...

Why would you have to change the WP to add PS? Makes no sense

just an FYI, i believe the 66 radiator is one year only.

not that it would matter if you're swapping it out, but another point of consideration.

Paul, I converted a 66 Barracuda to power steering a few years ago. We orginally ordered a kit from Borgeson. The brackets for the P/S pump mounted too low and would require the waterpump conversion you mentioned. After numerous calls we returned the kit and purchased one from Bergman Auto Craft. They were able to source the fractory pump brackets and pullys. Additionally you will need to shorten the steering shaft..Other than that it was a nice kit and they were very heplful!
