Price of a Hemi

There is nothing I would like to do more then build a SS/AA clone out of my '67 Barracuda, but I'm a little shy........Say about $12K /++++. Is there any other way other then starting out with a $12 thousand dollar crate??? I know that PAW has 392/354 parts and pieces, but even though I'm not trying to fool anybody, I'd prefer to stick with something closer to the 426.

Keep an eye on the different boards. Especially moparts.com , I see the odd one up for sale for less than 12 grand.

If I had to have a hemi, I would buy the crate. Everything is new and far superior to the old, knocked around stuff. I'd also pull the new one down and check specs. Yes. I would wait untill I had the funds.

12k will get you a street hemi ,but those cars came with the race hemis, so you`d better have deep pockets, and that`s just the engine.
