I have a 70 Duster column shift automatic. At some point in it's life the PRNDL lense got paint overspray on it.

It appears the shroud covering the lense is an integral part of the collar. So, how do these lenses come out? Does anyone make replacement PRNDL's? Or can the overspray be removed?

IIRC, the column has to be disassembled, and the lens can be removed once the shift collar is removed. If you have a service manual, it should illustrate the procedure, I don't have one, but I believe they are available online. Basically remove the steering wheel, turn signal switch, lock plate, ignition switch, that should get you to the shift collar IIRC, and removal is fairly straightforward. Long time since I did one, but not overly difficult with some basic tools. May need to remove the column, might make it easier to work on a bench, have to lower it at least. There is a recent post detailing much of the process, I think it was to replace an ignition switch.

This is not a wanted thread. Offers to cell parts have been deleted.

Looks to me like he wants one.

If he wants to find a used one he can start a wanted thread like everyone else on the site. It's about new new members learning how the site works and following the rules.

I agree with TMM, the new members need to read & follow the rules. I was called down making mistakes & learned my lesson. Others need to take heed before their posts are deleted & they get mad because they don't understand.
