I won a set on Ebay, and I think they look pretty good. I have seen a few posts saying these heads have junk springs and valves. Could someone tell a little more about that. Why do you say junk?
 
stainless valves only cost about 100 bucks and springs about the same. If you want to change them, go for it, but how bad can the valves be? I bet the weak spot in the heads is the valve seat grind. Even Edelbrocks tend to have poorly ground seats. If you dont want them, sell them to me ;-)
 
check the valve job/guides and make sure the springs are what they are advertised for lbs wise.

I would check them to see what they give, then see what the cam of your choice requires in comparison.

also check flatness


you can do the guide check by feel, the lil wet finger suction test too.lol
 
You have this question posted in the wrong section. You should be asking questions in the q&A section. Not the parts for sale section.
 
Not sure how I was in this section. I was postting a question in the big block area, at least I thought I was. Was this moved somehow?
