Pro Tour guys. What tires r u runnin?

-
I run the same size tire and rim all around. 18x9s. 275 35s. BfGoodrich Rival S. Very good tire designed for our type cars. Michelin Pilot 4S is the updated Super Sport. It's probably the best all around tire on the market period. They make lots of sizes too.
what's the backspacing on your wheels and did you do any surgery t get them to fit?

6.4 front
5.95 rear
Bored wheels to fit hubs
Removed lips from fenders
Trimmed rear lips
Springs moved with offset kit
Fits without spacers over hat style rotors on all 4 corners.

I started with the mopar circle track springs in an effort to save a few dollars. That turned out to be disastrous. You can read about it here --> Dr Diff Offest Kit With Oval Track Springs

I ended up ordering the Hotchkis leaf springs. That's what the car is sitting on in those pictures. I was worried about them being too low, but they are perfect.
Super Stock springs were good for one thing, drag racing. I had them on this car long ago when I first built it. Then I switched to Caltracs. This is the first time I have a non-drag racing spring on the car and it is amazing how nice it rides.
I'm going to assume they redesigned this spring. When I tried them, not only was the ride height too low, but they wrapped up like crazy. Very weak spring

Mine are 29" tall 10" wide , untubbed -----295 60 d15

This is hardly a pro-touring setup, rather a drag racing wheel/tire combo. You must have also moved the rear end back in the wheel opening to fit a 29" tire. The stock axle center line to the front of the wheel opening is approximately 14.5", which leaves zero clearance for 29" tall tire. Or, the tire doesn't actually measure 29". I used to run a 275/60-15 drag radial years ago, and it only measured 27-27.5" when the calculated diameter and the manufacturers say they are 28".

Wrong my fine feathered friend. Moving the axle back is something I HAVE AND "wont" ever due ! If I were going to move it, it would be forward .
It is in the stock location, same as when I ran 295 65 15 drag radials . I did rework the front of the fenders before the paint job, rolled the lips, and adjusted the inner fender panels in certain spots with a hammer / from past experience , and run 3/4" offset hangars , and the dana 60 is 1'' shorter than an A body rear, altho it has disc brakes which change the width too . I been doing this a long time.
It still doesn`t hook up , but that's another story , front end problems---------I don't know if it will ever hook up on these small tires tho.
Trying to load a pic with the 295 d.r. -----------
You are right about not being a pro touring set up , in the fact that I haven`t built up that much trust in the build yet .

18x9 front w/ 255/40-18
18x10 rear w/ 295/40-18

I'm seriously thinking I will eventually go 18x9.5 w/ 275/35-18 and 19x12 w/ 325/30-19
