The great thing about this body is there is so much style and the body lines are so interesting that not much "flashiness" is needed in the paint. Your decision is perceived to be a hard one when actually its an easy one. any one of the choices you have above will be awesome and

will blow people away. its an easy choice pick the one you like and all will be awesome. Or just flip a coin lol. When i repainted my 66 back to the original color it blew people away and it was just the 1966 dark blue poly. any one of those color combinations above are going to be insane. of course thats just my opinion and i think the 65 is even better looking. (shameless post of a picture of my 66)lol

Last post until.it's painted . no need to explain this post . so here ya go.

And here's a video showing how the color can "change" with different angles

Oops. Had forgotten to add the video.

I have the paint code for that color. I thought it was maximum metal. I did a spray out of it tonight before I left the shop. Definitely not that color.

I'm doing Granite Crystal Metallic on my Duster. I really like the colour. It's deep and I like the mild colour change effect.

Another great example of one color being many...
It flows nicely with the curves. '15 Viper Gunmetal Pearl. May be a little closer to the shade of your rendering...?
I know it's going to look great on our 69 Fastback with Black wheels.

Haven't posted in some time. Haven't had the time to work on my own project. So here is where I'm at. All the engine parts are of to the builder. Hoping to have it back by end of the month. Was working on the lower valance and looking at the intercooler wasn't sure if the bumper would clear. So I did a quick mock up with the newly plated bumper. A miracle it clears. So I have a couple of things to finish up before I pull the block out and start on finishing up what little body work I have left before paint. My goal is to have it in paint by the middle of April. Some progress is better than none I suppose.

That engine looks like it's sitting pretty low. Almost like it's hiding in the engine bay.

It's down to just a bare block at this point. The head was removed to finish welding up the manifold tubed. Not much left in the engine compartment at this point. It's pretty full when it's all together.

Funny you posted today. I was looking through the want adds for a 2.4 turbo engine last night, and I wondered how your build was going. I'm pulling my 32 Dodge-Plymouth-TJ Richardson roadster out of storage since spring is here. Time for a new build. Your banger is an inspiration!

The car is looking awesome, so keep up the great work!

What are you looking to put the 2.4 in.

32 Roadster as shown above.
It's from Australia and was built by three different manufacturers. Dodge body from the doors forward, Plymouth Drive train and T.J. Richardson body from the doors back.

It's a banger now so I want to keep it that way.

Just about done with engine compartment mock up. A few things to do yet. Order custom built radiator. Finish the tubing for the 2 wastegates. Weld in the 02 bung. Figure out the power steering mounting bracket. And weld up a 99 degree AN fitting for the thermostat housing. Redo the transmission tunnel. I cut the other one out. Just to bulky. I say this every year. But it sure would be nice to finish it on time for summer. LOL we will see.
