Think I'm going to use your chin spoiler idea. I was going to make my own out of aluminium but it doesn't give so new challenger it is! Thanks for the detailed pics

Well really busy during the week working on customers cars. So I thought I would come in today to work on the Dart. I dropped the front and rear suspension and will be mounting it on a body cart to mock up the new rear end and finish blasting the rest of the car. But in the mean time with the old suspension in the way I have never really seen the car with the new wheels on it. The mini tub was done some time ago. So I thought I would stick them up under the car to see what it looked like. Killer. with white paint and matte black accents I think it will turn out just as planned.

Looks good! Although I have to admit, I would love to see it just a couple inches lower... Just me though. I'm looking forward to seeing this with color.

Man, you, Tincup, and a few of you others (you know who you are) really suck. I thought the earlier A cars were ok, but now you guys got me saying "Hmmmmm".

Great build and I'm looking forward to more.

Funny you say that. Because after I took the pictures and was looking at them I lowered it some more its just sitting I'm the lift so it was easy to adjust the height.

How low can you go before the tires get too cozy with the wheelhouses?

There seems to be alot of room in the front and the rear. I don't really see any place thay might cause a proplem. From were it's sitting in the pictures I lowered it about 2 to 2 1/2 inches lower. I will snat some shots of it lowered down some more.

Looks sick! Like those rims more and more every time i seed them. Who makes those?

From the floor to the front of my seat is 10" I have a pic, I'll post later.

Bought these seats over the weekend off craigslist. Wasn't sure if I liked them or not. They are from a Mercedes C class. 6 way power and heated seats and of all things power head rest.I would recover them if they grow on me. They dont look bad and fit pretty darn good. We will see if they end in up in the build or not.

Just curious whats involved with wiring the seats since they can be complex with airbags and computerized controls. I ordered a set of Caddy CTS seats. Not sure what I'm in for with the wiring.

Tincup would be the guy to ask about the CTS seats thats what hes running in his car. mine are simple to wire.

If you look in the electrical section, I posted a schematic that will tell you how to wire power and heat.

So how's that 10k budget holding up? I'm thinking I'll be at right around 15 depending how retarded I go on the motor. Luckily I already have the blower but I'm entertaining going bigger displacement. I want 800 hp god damnit! Those road racing videos you posted are looking more and more fun. I'd love to have a go at it just to see if I could do well at it. I was watching on hot rod tv the sand hills open challenge which looked like a kick in the ***! I ran my old mans sunbeam tiger at the silver state classic a long time ago before I got hurt and had the time of my life and only overheated about 12 times! Those cars are notorious for that, but they haul ***! Poor mans cobra. I need to figure out a way to leave my 4 speed in the car and do a hand clutch of some sort on the shifter. Any ideas?
Rick

Found it. Thanks for putting it up. Do you recall what year your seats are from? I'd look for it in your build thread but 62 pages is like... wow! Great build.

Mine are 2007

I'll bet you could hook up an air cylinder to the clutch master, put a small compressor/tank in the trunk, and a push button on the steering wheel, you would be able to activate the clutch at the push of a button.

Okay I know what way I am going to go when I find my next Dart. I have read a few builds and this is the way. I want some thing that I can drive every day and play with on the week ends. Great build keep posting picks thanks
