Problems with 96 Neon

Not too sure if this is the right place to post this.

just bought a 96 Neon. The very next day the check engine light came on. Some of the problems i am having are, sometimes it wont start. Had all the gauges not working but then start working again after jiggling the ingnition switch. Any ideeas will be greatly appreciated

Well some common issues with them neons are the cam postion sensors seals taking a dump,causing the lubrication to leak past.Ignition switch was common too around here, due to the young girls hanging 10lbs of key jewelery and do-hickies off their key chains,...from what I remember 7 years ago working for Hinckley parts counter
