Got some more work done today . I removed some more of the floor and laid in the new main rails and will start to make the stringers to attach the new rails to the rocker panels after i clean them up and install the 12 gauge renforments the full lenght of the rockers there will be 6 new stringers going in replacing the factory rear cross bar and the flimsy seat plates., all the stringers will be 2X2 083 wall tube that will give me a full flat floor 1 inch lower than stock and much easier to fab wish me luck

new heavy duty inner rocker are now drilled and chamfered and ready to weld in

the reason for the chamfer is to get a better weld since the new pates are 3X thicker than the originals and this will give a max weld for bonding them in

Well today I started removing the front suspension and got a real rude awakening
my drivers side frame rail is toast and I am going to have to replace it more work to save my car from the wrecker

You call this "Project Confused"! I don't know, it looks like you have a very definite plan lined up! Nice, no, damn nice work. Now, you never did disclose the rear frame rail type?!?!? Is your front frame rail able to be sectioned? That would save some time and work.

believe it or not 67 to 72 Nova part number 3035 from comp enginering
have a replacement rail on its way from a member here Lee Robinson
that will make it much easier to replace it with a stock unit

Picked up my vette K frame today and removed all that was not needed so I can swap it into my valiant started assembly tonight so I can measure it all up to make the mounting brackets

more tomorrow

I am curious as I have a 64 and thinking about front brakes and suspension. Have you decided what you are doing upfront yet?
