Project X Now A EV

-
Ford didn't take the original 68 Bullitt Mustang, rip its guts out, and make an ev showcar out of it. A much better execution with this pickup

Faster with Faganin, chode spill garage, douche nozzles in black frame glasses trying to identify with a time long before they were born ..
Crap mostly, great time killers if you're out of good things to do and hate yourself enough to watch it. Lol
These guy's have done more for the hobby than you can imagine why so negative?

I like new technology much as the next guy, but for history's sake, they shouldda left it internal combustion.

Isn’t hot rodding about doing things different? Nothing new about stuffing the engine out of one thing into another. I know I personally puke whenever I see an LS in a Mopar, but I can respect the idea.

They already did it...

Well, if the Project X turning to electric bothers you, you will probably like this even less.

1972 Plymouth Satellite electrified with 600 hp, balanced to 50/50 weight distribution by battery placement and goes 0-6 mph in 4 secs. It goes 250 miles on a charge.

I think it’s cool.

BTW, that’s not a radiator in the front...it’s the condenser for the AC adapted battery cooling system to help provide maximum efficiency and power.

I saw that. I think it’s pretty cool. I’ve long thought of building an electric 32 Ford. Of course, my 331 Hemi sitting lonely in the garage would look good too :)

I think it's more about what the car was and its history.

Doesn't look attainable for the average joe.

If I could get an E.V. pickup for under $20,000 I would drive one daily but that's never going to happen.
Fair enough. I have no interest. If it could be proven sustainable and truly"green", I'd probably do my part.

That's a serious build and I like that. I believe what upsets those that don't like what they've done to Project X, including me it that it started out as a test bed for all things hot rod and internal combustion. It was never built, nor designed as some modern take on hot rodding complete with cancel culture EV power. They just decided to go "the other way" with it and it pissed a lot of people off.

I agree with whoever talked about the new Chevy 632 crate engine. I would have fully endorsed that.

OR, they could have done another complete sister built to Project X and called it Project Y? Or something different. They pretty much had to almost build another car anyway. No, I'm not upset about what they did to Project X, but rather what they took away.
