Yes. Also, for anyone thinking about doing using a panhard, it is important to do the shackles like they did (to allow a little side to side movement). I think I have a photo of that if you want - PM or e-mail me and I'll send it to you. Slightly ironic that IIRC it was the Challengers that used that used a panhard setup for the full '70 season. Tony A2Z mentions that on his website (He drove a couple of races toward the end of that season).

As a general rule, the leaf spring design imparts lateral stiffness that will prevent the housing from shifting excessively side to side. When using the 3-link/torque arm, 4-link set-up the housing is more free to move.
