I recently bought a set of PST Adjustable UCA's for an E-body without the spacers. One would think these could be purchased separately, but it seems that's not the case. PST was less than helpful.

So, I am wondering if anyone who has these UCA's might be able to quickly dimension them for me so I can make some. Even better would be the off chance someone has some laying around they won't use.

I would actually really appreciate @PST explaining why these spacers aren't available according to the sales people I contacted. Seems really risky to buy them when simply losing or damaging one would result in having to buy a whole kit for almost $500.

I've not received a response here yet so I wanted to offer that it appears these are an off the shelf heim spacers and possibly not manufactured by PST. If that's the case, and I'll admit it's likely, it would have been much more help had the sales team simply said that. If these are specific to PST, the question stands.

I would email tech at PST from their webpage.. they always got back to me fairly quickly... the fact you couldn't buy replacements if needed is insane

I miss James @ PST. He was always very responsive to our inquiries as well as being active on this site.

I got some info from PST Tech. Seems they source those adjustable UCA's from RMS. I've sent a request to them for either purchasing spacers or getting the correct size.

call bill at RMS. he makes those arems and most likely can sell you the spacers. you may have to measure the heim joints though as there are two different ones that you could have.

I sent a message so hopefully that is the start of the end. I don't have them with me so I'll mesaure them when I get home so I have the info when needed. I appreciate the heads up on the different size options.

So what happened to James at PST?

So I went and looked at the email that explained the sourcing from RMS and it was some guy from sales. Sales was my first inquiry, then I went to tech, but haven't' gotten a response from tech yet.

Have you tried finding these spacers at Speedway ?

I need to know the sizes at the very least. They are different from front to back to allow for castor adjustment I believe. The description says 0-10 deg of adjustment so I'm thinking mounted one way is 0 and the other is 10 but that's a guess.

depends on the heim joint. my first set had two different sice spacers.. the heim joints i replaced the originals with used the same spacers all the way around.. it depends on the heim joint they send when RMS orders a batch. i have my old spacers around here somewhere.. they are from an abody though. not sure they would be the same for your ebody.

Thanks, when I say the size, I'm talking about the length/depth, not the i.d. just to be clear. I'm not arguing with you, just making sure we're saying the same thing. I'll measure them when I get home this afternoon.

I just measured the spacers that came with my RMS uppers. They're installed so the measurements I took may not be perfect, but they'll be close enough for you to make some if you can't find any. They were 0.780" for the long ones and 0.370" for the shorties. The long ones go towards the front to gain a little caster.

Before you make them, I'd measure the width of your heim and the inside dimension of the mount. Maybe even just split that into thirds and make one spacer one-third, and the other two-thirds.

Much appreciated! Next question, are they aluminum or steel?

fatter in width. some have a wider ball? inside the joint which is why there could be different sized spacer. that make sense? not sure I'm explaining it well.

Yeah I'm tracking. We're talking about the same thing. The size I was referring to was the length of the spacers themselves, which would of course depend on the width of the heim joint ball.

here is the difference in the spacers with my old joints. forget if the new joints are thinner or the fatter ones.

happen to be out here and looked. the spacers are the same size on these. bill said he orders batches of the same part number and never knows which he is getting.

So far it sounds like this isn't as big of a deal as I'd thought it was going to be since the spacers are available from many sources. It also seems the positioning caused by the size difference, if any, is simply where I get to play with castor when needed. Equal space, 0 change in castor and so forth.
