Has anyone installed the PST torsion bars TOR4820 in a 65 Valiant 200? PST site says they won't fit, even though the dimensions are the same. I called customer service and they did not know. He said ask the mopar forums online. I had the same problem with the 20-1 steering box. The salesman said sure it will fit when the their site said it would not. Turns out I had to find a longer steering column shaft to make it work. Its a Valiant 200, which is a 4 door v8 car.

I don't know about the torsion bars, although there's no reason they won't fit. But the gear box issue wasn't PST's fault. You replaced a power steering box with a manual. The manual box is shorter. You didn't need a longer steering shaft. All you needed was this:

agreed. that or weld 2 couplers together to make up the length.
neil.

Well obviously my initial measurements and comparisons were AFU. My apologies to PST. I will be ordering new torsion bars tomorrow. It still bothers me that when I select check fitment it says "Does not fit Valiant 200"

Fairbanks Alaska?
It isn't like you can just drive right over to PST and see for yourself!
Holy cow, we have an Alaskan Mopar guy? Good for you, man. It is cold as a witch's tit and you're still living the dream.
Cheers to you, Sir and good luck!
