push rods??

ok fellas, heres what I got, I have a 1972 318 .030 over with a .480 lift hyd. cam and 360 heads the heads are shaved .040 now my question is can I use the stock push rods, will the hyd. lifters take that much up? oh ya the rockers are new but stock non adjustable, Thanks Ed

...U can if ur using thick head gaskets.........steel shim, no...........kim..........

the factory head gasket is around .019-.020 thick while the typical felpro is .039-.045 thick.

So if you milled .040 and are now using a .039-.045 thick felpro head gasket, u gained around .020 of pre load.
thats ok.
