Pypes A body exhaust or Summit Which one should I choose?

-
Got a pypes with the pro mufflers and am extremely happy with the sound and the fit was complicated as I expected which was not hard just required a little tweaking and brute force to get stuff to line up perfect as I wanted it. Definitely would get again and it's quiet enough at idle you can hear the person in the passenger seat but when you are tired of them talking you step on the gas and wake up the neighborhood. Got mine behind a mostly stock 318 and hooker headers

Ahh,the drone...Probably the mufflers. I've seen info on mufflers that have a valve inside. They are supposed to help eliminate most of that nasty drone.

I put on a Pypes system with Race Pro muffs. The sound is nice under normal conditions but has a nice, loud bark when you get on it. Didn't use the tail pipes and this is hooked up to Schmacher (shorty) headers. Pics on my site.

I have the pypes kit on my car. I think its a very good kit for the price. My only install problem was caused buy my CHEAPO summit headers. The collectors are not exactly in a convenient spot. Here is a clip .....I think I have the streetpro mufflers. I also have there X pipe installed.

Thanks Zakimodo for that AWESOME sound clip! I really dig that wide open bark. How is the sound level in the interior? Any drone while driving?

The sound level inside isn't bad at all. running about 3000 RPM on the interstate there seems to be abit of a drone. Its hard to tell "as you know these cars aren't the quietest things" because of the road noise.

Ah, yes, the dreaded drone. I pretty much figured it was the el-cheap-o generic Turbo mufflers. I have a set of Dyno-max welded mufflers on the shelf that were ear-marked for another project and just may install them over the winter or just use glass packs, bask in the glory of the racket, and to hell with the drone.
