I have a 69 barracuda formula s...am I supposed to have the instrument voltage limiter? The car has a tach, but not a 150mph speedometer. I removed the dash and an instrument voltage limiter was not on the electronic panel behind the gauges.

thanks

If you have a Rally dash, the limiter will be inside the fuel gauge. Look at the gauge, it will have three terminals instead of two.

One terminal is fed 12V into the limiter, one terminal is the fuel gauge sender

The third is the output for the limiter, which is jumpered over to the temp/ and oil gauge.

I have NO idea why Ma decided to do that.

It is a 69 Barracuda you have a rallye dash. As said, it is built into fuel gauge. Are you have a gauge issue or just asking?

Gauges are always 5 volts. It is there (probably in the fuel gauge like 67Dart273 said). Suggest you upgrade to electronic version.

Thanks for the info! Our fuel gauge works good, but sometimes the tach and oil pressure gauges work improperly, could a faulty limiter be the cause of this?
