Question about SB rocker arm shafts

Where banana groove cut rocker arm shafts a OEM factory item ? or were they a replacement part (new and improved ) ?
My set of adjustables/with shafts have the banana groove cuts, just trying find out if these were a stock production as in Stock OEM production car part. Or maybe an item from direct connection/mopar performance. Thanks

Banana grooves came stock on adjustable rocker shafts.

Not necessarily true, I've seen the 273 rockers on non-grooved shafts.
Granted, there's been a loooonnngg period of time for them to have been swapped, but I have seen them come out of a 273 without grooves.

Both, they were OE on some adj. rockers,but also available from DC/MP as a
"heavy duty rockershaft",#P3577086. Other aftermarket shafts also featured this.
Oddly,they offered a chromed & hardened shaft set that "are straight and
round and stay that way under severe race conditions",w/no banana grooves,
#P5249091.
