I used organisol (the original stuff) and regretted it - it was terrible to care for and any wax from adjacent paint was a nightmare. Last time I went with gloss black and never looked back. If you actually drive your car the answer is obvious.

use this it never stains . And if you get wax on it you don't see it. Wipe water beads and stains right off. I won't use anything else. easy to match and easy to spray.
good question...Is this a Single Stage paint?
I always clear coat with a satin or flat clear. It's the best for durability as far as I'm concerned.did anyone clearcoat the satin hood?
I agree, but I painted my stripes and side trim on my boat with single stage SEM in 2000 and it still looks good.I always clear coat with a satin or flat clear. It's the best for durability as far as I'm concerned.
Never had problems with it chalking or staining.
Yep SEM is great stuff the hot rod black is what I used on a 2015 Challenger a bout 4 years ago the owner supplied the paint and still looks great. I still prefer to clear coat.I agree, but I painted my stripes and side trim on my boat with single stage SEM in 2000 and it still looks good.
I bought the paint at our local NAPA they carry paint and body shop supplies. (Martin Senior) I gave the paint code above. Just used it on this car also. As stated water drops and wax do not stick. Wipe it off just like its gloss and it matched stripes perfect. Spraying it is idiot proof with any cheap gun. I used a Harbor freight throw away $16 gravity gun. Even The base coat is idiot proof. The clear is where you need the good gun to prevent buffing.May I ask where you ordered the paint from please, is the paint made by Cross Fire
No it doesn't stain it it may leave a small film that is easily removed with modern paint protectants. my car came with the factory flat black hood so I've been dealing with it for 30 years or so before my new paint job I just would armorall the hood and it always came out looking Sharp defect free. But now after my new paint job I just use turtle Wax exterior detailerThose of you using Blitz Black, does car wax stain it if you accidently get some on it?
