Hello folks,
one dumb question: What is the correct Englisch term for the "weather-rubber-sealing" around the doors as suggested in the pic (not the door-frame seal)?

Is it called door seal? I bought my Valiant without any seal around the doors, so how does that sealing is fixed to the door (I cannot see any holes for clipping at my car)? I have to glue it?
Thx in advance.

There is no seal in the location you indicate. The door seals on your Valiant are affixed to the pinch weld around the perimeter of the door frame (car body). It's called windlace/weatherstrip and is available new; see here. The same material is used on '60-'66 A-bodies.

Thank you Dan. I got the factory ones in the frames. Any experiences +or- with installing one "additional" around the doors (as in the pic)? My doors always make a sound like "steel on steel" when I close them. I thought it is because of the missing seal around, but perhabs it is caused by wrong alignment.

Wrong alignment and/or crushed/dead weatherstripping. There is an auxiliary seal for the slanted forward edge of the window frame, used only on hardtops and convertibles; I've put it on 4-door cars for some extra sealing. Does it do that? Donno. It doesn't make the seal any worse!

On the slanted edge of my drivers and passengers side window frame is a dying rest of a rubber part. I think the pre-owner installed those conv/hardtop parts. I will try to replace that. So thank you again.
