I was adjusting my carb today, and i notice that a spring was just there connected to one end and the other end was just laying on my intake, i think it possibly runs into my throttle linkage?
heres a couple photos to help. In the photos its the little spring

The smaller spring was threaded through the center of the larger one thus creating a double spring. More for safety than for strength in throttle return.
 
It looks like a secondary throttle return spring to me. It should be inside the larger spring and attached at the same points. In case one breaks you have a back up spring to avoid a wide open throttle situation.
 
yep. thats supposed to be your second throttle return spring. you should always have two return springs for safety reasons.
