painting rear axle and front end should it be glossy are satin. Just building a nice driver. Thanks I advance KB9GIB
 
You choice / your car. I think factory was bare metal. I painted mine semi- gloss.
It sat on the shelf for 2 years waiting for install. I finally installed and the semi is now flat.
I clear rattle can painted it and it looks better than it did the first time.

In my opinion. Gloss = show the spots where a dark flat color can hide them. My underbelly is flat black.

Gloss shows the dust better. I go for semi-gloss but flat black on undercoating.
 
I painted the rearend, front controll arms and other bolt ons gloss on my Valiant but the under side is flat. No reason for it, just how it ended up.

I went Rustoleum satin black with a satin clear coat. I know it’s going to get rock chipped underneath, will be easier to sand down and freshen up with a quick reshoot.
