R5 P7 what fits what ???

Hi guys
New to this site so
Im in Aust and i race a historic touring car Valiant Charger (for your info see my web site www.racingcharger.com) and maybe check the link to the series to see what we race against (comaro's mustangs ect ect ) any way i have a R5 P7 engine in the car and have now been told it has to be replaced with a R3 at the end of the year (im really not Happy !!!) but thats the end result
The problem is they dont like the heads (valve angle) so does anybody know does a indy or any other head bolt on ?? because if so that will save me a bundall as i have 2 new blocks and 2complete engines that i have been running
 
You Might Try Somebody Like Arrington Race Engines. I'm Sure They Could Tell You.

Do you want the heads to fit the r3 block? or the r5? You were not really clear.
 
If it is for the R5 Block the ONLY heads that fit it are the P7's. If it is the R3 Block just about any small block mopar head will fit just make sure the lifter angle is correct for block head combination.

What i am trying to work out is if any other head fits on a R5 block ?

I dont think anything will but its worth the question

As i have 2 R5's and i think they are the best mopar you can buy for the $

Oh... Well in that case nothing else fits. The R5 is specifically made for the P7 head And vice versa.

Oh! And If you want to get rid of your R5/P7 stuff now that you have to switch... I'll give it a good home and make sure that it gets exercised regularly!!! :D haha!
