Raced my 3.6 V6 '13 Ram

-
I have a 12 1500 2wd reg cab long bed with a 4.7
And it's a DOG below about 2800 rpm. Over 3k it really starts to pick up steam. I was wondering about one of those pedal commander.
I also have a 03 Durango with a 4.7 and drive by cable with less supposed HP, same gear plus the weight of 4wd and it goes like a bat out of hell compared to my truck with the 16 plugs, supposed 10:1cr, 305hp. Highest claimed HP vehicle I've ever had and it's underwhelming.
I'll take a carbd 318 any time over (at least) this particular 4.7
I only got these 4.7 vehicles under protest as I've never owned anything but Dodge, and they don't make 318s/360s no more and each time when I bought the 2 vehicles talked about in this post I needed something "now" and didn't have cash for what I really wanted, needed bank assistance and you all know they won't loan on an old vehicle. (I had to do the Durango as a personal loan due to its age) Both are paid for now though.

Never personally experienced the peddle commander, but it's suppose to eliminate the delay in the drive by wires

I used to make fun of the lights that the new muscle cars cut at my local track.
......until i tried it in my own drive by wire car.
Awful. Just awful. i think i cut one decent light in twenty tries. And I CAN cut a light!

He doesn't want to talk about it here. He wants you to click on his YouTube video and allow him to get paid to talk about it.

Tom
LOL... I hate typing paragraphs when I can copy and paste, so I'm not going to copy and paste and then type the essay :D. Then come all the "post the ET slip".... it's all in the video. But you know, us small youtubers make about 5 bucks per view. :)

Absolutely the truth!

Oh , I tried. I'd try leaving around my normal time, and the car would talk back ....
"Oh, you wanna go now. Sorry, I don't feel like it. You don't really wanna go now, do you? Oh, you do? Okay, let's go..................NOW!"
So, I tried leaving much earlier. Red, by over two hundred. Tried to find the middle some where. .150 late or .150 red. I BOUGHT the car to have some fun racing my car without having to drag the truck, trailer, and racecar out. I cut ONE 00x light, and it was PURE accident.
I learned my lesson. I quit taking it to the track.....except to spectate.

You described it perfectly.

I’ve just got done rebuilding my son’s top end on his 2011 3.6 challenger it’s got 232,000 miles on it. Damn thing hauls *** for a little motor 305hp advertised perfect for a 16yr old highschool car. I know there’s hate for the pentastars but I kind of like it easy to work on makes decent power.

Forgot to mention, E.T.s were all over the place too. Make a lap, x time. Come back, make another, x+.15. Hot lap it.... x+.3 But you couldn't count on it it would pick up, or slow down a tenth, any time it felt like it.
So, a bracket car that won't repeat, and can't cut a light.
No wonder the new muscle only does tnt, and doesn't show up for real races.

If you are asking me, RRR, nope, sixty foots were relatively consistent, which surprised me. I expected to have to get another pair of wheels to put drag radials on.... but the car proved to be such a lousy racecar, I didn't have to do anything for it. I just put any money earmarked for it into something else.

I figured something like that....
Did he ever get to what the time slip said?...
Here... 15.22 @ 90 mph. I showed all 4 runs (ET slips) in the first 4 minutes of the video.

interesting , my 2014 ram 6 , will spin the tires a little ,and leaves correctly , no screwing around. I stayed ahead of a hemi ram (thru 2 gears) , that had loud exhaust and a bunch of visual stuff , that was showing .off like he was hot s----.....
