Have read that a special paint is used to paint radiators, have seen it in the Eastwood catalog, but am wondering if it is really necessary of will any black paint work. From what I have read the radiator paint doesn't go on as thick and that thicker paint will tend to hold heat more or something along those lines.
Thanks

I used John Deere semi gloss black because of the proper gloss which is like original. I don't know about heat dissipation because I haven't fired the engine up yet but if I have overheating problems it probably won't be caused by the paint on my radiator. I painted the tanks a bit heavier than the core which only has 2 light coats. It should be ok. toolmanmike
