Radiator Support

I have seen the forums on making a tubular or square lower rad support. Has anyone reconstructed the whole radiator support? Just a skeletal version. I'm using fiberglass fenders and just feel like the rad support is going to be too flimsy because I do not have inner fenders. Any crazy rad supports or something different?

I made a tubular structure for my 66 Dart. It's welded to the bumper brackets so I can remove the front sheet metal as a one piece unit. The radiator doesn't attached to it though. It sits on a tubular lower radiator support I made connecting the front frame rails.
