Radio Help for 71 Scamp "Measurements"

Hey folks need a little bit of a hand here with some measurements. I have a 71 Scamp with an unmolested dash that I would like to keep that way.
I do have a spare dash with the radio mount points cut out for a din style radio but I'm not interested in changing it over. I'd like to put an old school
Kenwood, Alpine or something along that line in with the "double knob" style. My car is away and not accessible till spring. Can someone one that has access to their car measure
the holes post to post and drop a photo for me with the tape measure in place. I have a guy with a Kenwood 2001 double knob for sale but this radios knows are fixed with no adjustment.

Sorry, no pic......But the radio knobs are 5 13/16 inches center to center. The holes in the dash that accept the controls are 5/8 diameter.

Not the dash, but here's the trim plate:

Looks like 5 3/4 to me.

Perfect the the radio I'm looking at has that measurement the Kenwood 2001. The image is from the net but the seller has a mint one for sale!
