Someone down the street redid their kitchen.

Four cabinets out by the curb.

Hung one in the shop already and another has a place waiting.

One of the two small ones will go in the laundry room.

Priced unfinished at Loves- $200 and up.

By that math, I found at least $800 on the side of the road.

You priced wood like that lately?
YEP, why I'm re-purposing my Daughters old practice beam, that I made her some 25 years ago, into our fireplace mantel. It came out of a farm house before that.. probably 100 years old 4" x 12" and was originally 30' long.

I seem to routinely find $50-$100 of 1x4, 2x4 and 1/2" plywood on the side of the road or in my dumpster.

Drove my Dakota to work today because I spotted two 1/8" x 6 foot curved sheet metal shapes off the side of the road about half way there.
haven't moved since last week.

I've already got a prospective use for them in a back burner project.

Cerro Pedernal ("flint hill") taken from '31 mile road' on a Jeep trek, looking north. Abiquiu Lake to the right.
