And just think- that means Pratt & Whitney had to produce FOUR 1,200 hp 14 cylinder radial engines every hour (1 every 15 minutes!) just to keep up with the demand for the Liberator alone, in addition to all the other engines they produced for other aircraft!
 
I almost bought a "real" military one of those once- M-8xx.

Only mod was 18-33 wheels and tires.

Notice the interesting Alternator mount bracket configuration and the Alternator Belt drive direct to the crank, and it works!
