OK, I gotta point out that it's not the electricity in AC that is a potential environmental issue, it's the CFC's.

OK, I gotta point out that it's not the electricity in AC that is a potential environmental issue, it's the CFC's.

"Potrntial" is the key word here. Under most circumstances, the CFC's remain contained in the closed system of the AC. What little bit leaks out on occasion is like a popcorn fart in the reservoir of the atmosphere. Not a threat at all.
